After 20 years of cooking and eating Tofurky mostly the same way, I have seen the light… What an awesome way to cook resulting in a roast that is moist and flavorful with no added oil or fat! Blown away.
Had to sub orange juice for the maple and so reduced the BtB to by half.
This is the, new, way! 🙂

I tried this recipe yesterday and it turned out delicious!! So easy to prepare. Tofurkey came out so much more tender than in the oven. This is now my go to recipe.

I thaw mine first. Honestly the time it takes to come up to temp in a slow cooker could make it unsafe to eat in the end. So I would thaw it first.

When I make tofurky in the oven I prefer to cook it from frozen. I just think it comes out better

I’ve made ToFurky for years, that being said, I searched for a new recipe to change things up a bit this Christmas. Thank you for the recipe to cook on low for hours. This was the best roast I’ve served by far!

Sprouts sells both the small and large size. I will definitely double or triple the amount of sauce. The time will probably be the same. Thank you.

Mine was 1 pound 10 ounces. You should double and maybe triple the amount. I haven’t ever seen the larger size that you’re mentioning.

Mine is 3 Lbs 8 oz. I can’t see the weight in the picture. If your is smaller, should I double the sauce?

You should remove the wrapper. I didn’t think that needed to be in the recipe, but it looks like I was wrong. I will go back and add it in.
