It’s exactly the same. 🙂

I had a question about bouillon as I made a bunch using your “The Ultimate Vegan cookbook for IP.” If I use the bouillon cube with 2-3c water for any recipe I come across that asks for 2-3c Veg stock – is it exactly the same? Or am I losing something using bouillon? I much prefer the bouillon as it saves me a ton of space in the frig/freezer.

Thanks!

That’s correct if you are using a 4 quart slow cooker or smaller that doesn’t run hot. Otherwise go ahead and add 1/2 cup water. I’d add the water if you’re not sure if it runs hot or not the first time you make this.

I love the premise of this but I too am confused by the instructions so it’d be great if you could clarify this for me – so if I choose the slowcooker method, do I cook all those veggies + herbs without any water in the slowcooker if doing it for the approx 8 hour period?

Regards,
Felicity

I usually use about 1 cube per 2 cups water, but if that’s not strong enough you can always toss another one in the pot later.

I’m used to cooking with broth, though, so if a recipe calls for broth instead of bouillon, how much homemade bouillon + water would you use?

You probably could make it that way. I’m not well versed in pressure cookers so I haven’t tried it myself.

I’d imagine that I could. Or is the cooking process what we’re looking for? I love making things in my PC. Split pea soup…don’t have to blend it…cooks it to mush already! lol
